Kimono & Dress:
A Wedding Story in Ikaho

Japanese and Western attire at a traditional inn

OUR STORY

A dress and a kimono.
A day that is truly yours, in Ikaho.

For couples who dream of a truly Japanese wedding, here is a sample day that brings Japanese and Western style together. Get ready in a wedding dress, change into kimono, and take photos in a tatami room and before the Omori noren curtain. End the day with Japanese cuisine and the hot springs.

*This is a sample itinerary. Photos are for illustrative purposes; the actual ceremony, photography and locations are arranged with you to suit your wishes and conditions on the day.

SCENE 01

Getting Ready in a Wedding Dress

The day begins in a wedding dress. Adjust your veil, pick up your bouquet, and take your time with dress portraits in the warm wooden interiors of the inn.

SCENE 02

Shiromuku in a Tatami Room

From the dress to a dignified shiromuku, a traditional white bridal kimono. Kimono has a way of making you stand a little taller. Then take portraits beside the groom in montsuki haori and hakama, traditional formal attire for the groom, in a room of shoji screens and tatami.

Changing into Iro-uchikake

Next, a vivid iro-uchikake, a richly embroidered bridal over-robe. Its bold colors and patterns stand out beautifully against the inn's wood and stone. Attire can be arranged to suit your wishes.

SCENE 04

Before the Omori Noren

The large noren curtain of Nagomigokoro no Yado Omori is the spot that captures the inn best. A shared laugh or a portrait side by side becomes a keepsake of your journey.

SCENE 06

Japanese Cuisine and Hot Springs

In the evening, enjoy kaiseki prepared by our head chef: seasonal ingredients served course by course, a highlight of the trip for family and guests alike. Afterward, relax in Shirogane-no-Yu, a spring known for its skin-beautifying waters.
